Earlier this month we attempted a beach outing with a good friend and her children. After an hour in the car it was all I could do to keep up with baby girl's enthusiastic wandering.
For the record, the weather was horrible. It started pouring rain after about an hour and rather than a leisurly day on the sand (or gravel as it were) it ended in a mad dash to the car followed by a cold, damp ride home. Thankfully, I never go anywhere without a full outfit change for both.
